WCB is committed to the community band experience, providing an opportunity for musicians of all ages and all levels of experience to make music and improve their skills in a supportive and non-threatening atmosphere. The Bands welcome anyone who can read music and can play a band instrument.
Due to limited space in the sections and for overall balance considerations, however, admittance to the band will be based on space availability and an audition that includes:
– Scales
– Sight reading
– Intonation
– Prepared piece of candidate’s choice
– Ability to blend during an in rehearsal audition session
